French Bread Pieces
Slice a whole loaf of french bread in half lengthwise.
In a mixing bowl thoroughly combine the following ingredients:
1-1/4 cup Mayonnaise*
1 Tbls. refrigerated garlic
1 bunch of sliced green onions - include some of the tops
1 cup grated longhorn cheddar cheese
Spread thoroughly (to all edges) on each bread half. Wrap each half
separately and tightly wio foil; refrigerate at least 2 hours. Open
foil on
top and sprinkle with dried parsley flakes and paprika. Leave foil
open
and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Cut into 2" - 3" pieces and
serve hot.
* Use light mayonnaise for lower calories.
This recipe is very tasty and great when served with grilled steak or
chicken breast,
a baked potato, and tossed salad. Top off meal with a piece of fresh
fruit for a balanced diet.
